The National Association of Reading Intervention empowers educators and families with research-aligned tools, coaching, and advocacy. Since our founding, we’ve helped schools implement effective literacy practices that close gaps, nurture confident readers, and expand opportunities for every learner.

Briana Young
CEO
Briana Young, Founder & CEO
Briana Young is an educator, literacy advocate, and reading intervention specialist dedicated to helping students become confident, successful readers. As the Founder and CEO of the National Association of Reading Intervention (NARI), she equips parents, teachers, tutors, and educational leaders with research-based strategies and resources that strengthen foundational reading skills, reading comprehension, and overall academic achievement.
Briana created the Rocket Reader program which supports students in achieving significant academic growth. Her work contributed to English Language Learner reading proficiency rates of up to 90% in Florida and state assessment proficiency rates reaching 95% among students in Michigan, Florida, and Georgia. She has also helped students gain acceptance into prestigious academic programs, including University High School in Southfield, Michigan, and Kantonsschule Rychenberg, one of Switzerland’s leading baccalaureate vocational schools.
A lifelong learner and advocate for educational excellence, Briana has presented in professional development opportunities through the Michigan Reading Association, Florida Reading Association, and Illinois Reading Council, focusing on best practices for literacy instruction and supporting English Language Learners.
Through her leadership at NARI, Briana remains committed to advancing literacy education, strengthening family engagement, and supporting educators with evidence-based reading intervention practices to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive as a reader and lifelong learner.
